We sat down with Rumtin to discuss his impressive achievement and learn his secrets to success:
Q: What does winning the Real Estate of Origin competition across Ray White’s entire Australian and New Zealand network mean to you?
For me, it’s about having the right mindset. I’m always planning ahead and preparing for what’s next. The night before, I set myself a personal goal of 700 calls, so initially I was happy to beat my own goal and set a new benchmark. I’m also grateful to see my team’s strong motivation and support for me.
Q: Making a high volume of calls requires intense focus. What is your best tip for staying motivated during a challenging campaign?
It’s all about being organised and knowing your plan. Everyday I set clear goals that I sequence and schedule to make sure I’m able to achieve them for the day. People say Real estate is a numbers game, but it’s also about creating genuine connections as every call is a new opportunity. At the end of the day, staying structured helps me remain focused and keep momentum through challenging situations.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to other young sales associates who want to achieve this level of performance?
I would say to keep your mindset strong and stay consistent. You can’t control everything that happens in real estate or even your life, but you can control how much effort you put in each day. Every call and every follow up might not lead to a listing, but that’s how results are built.
