Also know as the ‘’North Shore of the North West’’, 23 kilometres from Sydney CBD Oatlands is Parramatta City Council and also forms part of The Hills District and Western Sydney.
Currently the population is just under 6,000 and is beloved by its residents for the offering a tree lined street perfect for families to grow and thrive plus parks, native wildlife, bushwalks and local shopping village.
Oatlands’ name originated from Oatlands House built as early as the 1830’s, said to be the earliest built houses in the Parramatta district.
Oatlands House is now used as a function centre, surrounded by Oatlands Golf Course, which opened in 1931. Following many years later in 1991, Oatlands was defined as a new suburb after previously being known as Dundas West.
